Product Description
Human hand skeleton model
Hand bones: The carpals, metacarpals, and phalanges.
(1). Carpal bones: Carpal bones are composed of 8 short bones, which are divided into near and far rows. The proximal row, from the radial side to the ulnar side, is successively: scaphoid bones, lunate bones, triangular bones and pea bones. The distal phalanges are majority hornbone, small polyhornbone, cephalic bone and hook bone. The intercarpal joint is composed of adjacent articular surfaces. The proximal scaphoid, lunate, and triangular bones form the joint head of the radial wrist, which is articulating with the facet of the lower radius.
(2). Metacarpal bones: there are 5 metacarpal bones, which are the L-5 metacarpal bones successively from the radial side to the ulnar side.Metacarpal belongs to long bones. The proximal end is called the base of metacarpal, the adjacent carpal bone, and the distal end is called the head of metacarpal bone, which is related to phalanx. When making a fist, the head of the metacarpal bone is exposed under the skin.
(3). Phalanges offingers: There are 14 pieces in total, with two thumbs and three fingers from 2 to 5. The proximal to distal
phalanges are proximal phalanges, middle phalanges and distal phalanges. The proximal end of the phalanx is the base, the middle part is the body, and the distal end is the pulley. There is no block at the distal end of the distal phalanx, and there is a rough eminence on the palm surface, which is called the distal phalanx tuberosity (carpal tuberosity).
